Biography

Dr. Jiban Jyoti Panda is an eminent Indian scientist at the forefront of nano-biotechnology and neuro-nanomedicine. Currently serving as Scientist E at the Institute of Nano Science and Technology (INST), Mohali, she leads one of India's most innovative groups working at the intersection of nanoscience, neuroscience, and biomedicine.

Her research is distinguished by the design of biocompatible, multi-functional nanostructures derived from peptides, proteins and amino acids for targeted delivery across the blood–brain barrier and blood–retinal barrier.

Recognized globally with honors including the UNESCO-L'Oréal Fellowship, DBT Har Gobind Khorana Award, and ICMR-DHR Fellowship.

Dr. Jiban Jyoti Panda

Dr. Panda leads the NeuroNanoMed Laboratory with expertise spanning peptide chemistry, nanomedicine, and neuroscience. With a Ph.D. from ICGEB and postdoctoral experience at the University of Colorado, she has established INST as a center of excellence for brain drug delivery research in India. She is an active reviewer for Pharmaceutical Research, Journal of Ocular Pharmacology and Therapeutic Delivery.
